1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using Ashlar ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. Ashlar reserves the right to change or modify terms at any time by posting updates online. Your continued use of the Service indicates your acceptance of any changes or modifications.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Ashlar for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

- Using the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display;

3. Video Content and Intellectual Property
When you use Ashlar to import, process, or generate documentation from videos:
- You warrant that you have the right to use any videos you import and that they do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights;
- You retain ownership of your original videos. We retain the right to store and process them to provide the Service;
- Generated documentation based on your videos (summaries, transcripts, notes) may contain intellectual property. You own the generated content subject to the constraints of the original video's copyright;
- You are responsible for obtaining necessary licenses or permissions from video creators, rights holders, or platforms before processing their content;
- Ashlar is not responsible for copyright infringement claims related to video content you provide.
4. User Accounts and Security
When you create an account on Ashlar, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and maintain and promptly update this information;
- Maintain the confidentiality of your password and account information;
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account;
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account;
- Not create accounts for purposes of violating these Terms or any applicable laws.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use Ashlar for:
- Illegal purposes or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations;
- Harassing, abusing, or harming others, or posting defamatory, obscene, or abusive content;
- Processing videos or content that contains hate speech, violence, exploitation, or other harmful material;
- Transmitting viruses, worms, malware, or any code of destructive nature;
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its associated systems, or networks connected to the Service;
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service or any server or network connected to the Service;
- Spamming or sending unsolicited communications;
- Collecting or using personal data about other users without their explicit consent or in violation of applicable privacy laws.
6. AI and Third-Party Services
Ashlar uses third-party AI services (including but not limited to Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT, and Anthropic Claude) to generate documentation and process your videos. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:
- Your video content and generated documentation may be processed by third-party AI providers according to their terms of service and privacy policies;
- Generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for all use cases;
- AI-generated content should be reviewed and edited before relying on it for critical decisions;
- Third-party AI providers may update their models, which could affect the quality or nature of generated content;
- We are not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from the use of AI-generated content.
7. Payment and Subscriptions
If you purchase a paid subscription or use paid features:
- You agree to pay all charges according to the pricing displayed at the time of purchase;
- Subscriptions will automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date;
- Refunds are only available according to our Refund Policy;
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice;
- Payment is processed through Stripe or other third-party payment processors;
- You authorize us to charge your payment method for any amounts due. If payment fails, your account may be suspended or terminated.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The materials on Ashlar are provided on an 'as is' basis. Ashlar makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
9. Limitations of Liability
In no event shall Ashlar or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Ashlar, even if Ashlar or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
10. Accuracy of Materials
The materials appearing on Ashlar could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Ashlar does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. Ashlar may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice.
11. Links
Ashlar has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Scroll Gold of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.
12. Modifications
Ashlar may revise these terms of service for its website at any time without notice. By using this website, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
13. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.

- Harassing or abusing other users;
- Violation of intellectual property rights;
- Non-payment of subscription fees.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Your account data will be retained according to our Privacy Policy.
15. Data Deletion
Upon account termination or deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data according to our Privacy Policy and applicable law. However, we may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, financial records).
